To clarify, bigger sway bars in addition to these mods could help handling, but bigger bars are not needed
just because of these mods.
Actually it could be argued an unmodified car will be helped more than a modified car by using them.
In your case I'd put it back w/new bushings and see if that's enough. Adding a larger set of OEM bars will only need a different set of bushings and possibly different bushing brackets if the bar on it now is a lot smaller than the replacement. I ran into this on F-body cars.
