Every 90 you put in the pvc line shortens that distance fairly fast.
A standard 1" 90 elbow is the equivalent of over 5 feet of straight 1" pipe

Another concern in my mind is air flow through pvc generates static electricity. You might get a dandy of a zap, then again maybe you won't. just a thought.

thank you for the feedback.

ok, sounds like i should just use the hose / setup as is without modification.

i was at another person's garage last night. he also uses a hobbyair system. he has had his system for some time (years).

i asked him if he ever considered doing what i proposed / asked.

he said, "why bother - the hose is not that big of deal to move around, once you get used to it."

he just takes his unit and sets it outside when he works.

i believe i will just keep things simple and use the unit as it was intended.
