Check out Summit or Jeg,s and check out your local pipe bender , you may need to bribe them to get around the converter deal.

I never came across dual pipes for an F-Body due to their use of the torque arm. I put a set of SLP headers on my son-in-law's '86 Camaro and they are smog legal. The 350 option had dual inlet convertors and a mandrel bent intermediate pipe back to a transverse muffler. You can buy it high dollar or I used Dynomax (good quality and price).

I know they have smog laws in VA.

Just had a thought...stand back...

The MN-12 THUNDERBIRD came through with a similiar exhaust design...dual cats with a single intermediate pipe down the center to dual outlet mufflers. Came to find out that these were also offered with POLICE PACKAGES including dual intermediate pipes.

Maybe if you find a knowledgeable GM parts guy he can find out if CHEV offered something similiar on the POLICE F-Body. Most of FORD's police information is contained in a seperate catalog. You never know.

Like I say, that torque arm really puts a lid on the tunnel room. Maybe do away with the torque arm and reinforce the rear susension in another way?

There are some duel exhaust setups that follow the orgional routing out there... anything else you gotta fab up on your own.
