rear end
I just finished a 1957 stepside pu with a 350 but kept the original tranny and rear end. i am pretty quick for about 100 ft then i run out of gears, a friend recommended a overdrive , how expensive and where do you get one

It would be cheaper to get a rear the same length out of an newer model Chevy truck with a V-8 from the auto recyclers. A overdrive transmission would cost around $1300-$1800.
