Spankthru; My driver is a 66 ElCamino with a stout 350/780 holly,700R trans.373 posi.
Moderate acceleration will cherp the tires in every gear.The eng turns 3400@65 mph in od
The odd thing is my 3/4ton suberbon 502/700R4 trans.410 gears, turns 2400@65 mph.There is about a 4 inch diff. in tire srze.

On the elCamino;
The #s on the rear housing says 373, however I suspect it may be 410s.

Of course your 307s will get better fuel mileage.

Hope this answers you guestion.Good Luck
