Rear end Gears

I was wondering what would be a good gear ratio to run in my 1992 S-10. My truck is going to be a 383 stroker pushing anywhere 400 to 450 HP just depending on what i do to it. This truck is usually going to be a fast street truck and I can run down my local strip now and then. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

Thanks, Spencer

Depends on what you are planning for tires and tranny as well -- but generally speaking, since you have plenty of power and pep, sticking with a normal street type ratio (3.00 - 3.30) will give you drivability and better economy than something more strip oriented.
