Rear end ID - is it worth rebuilding?
Just hauled in a Chrysler 9 1/4" and have a couple of questions.
It is approximately 58 1/2" from flange to flange. Width of spring perches center to center is approximately 47 1/4". It has disc brakes and a pinion snubber. Ratio undetermined but does have a type of sure grip or maybe a locker.
Any ideas as to what vehicle this came off of?
Is it worth rebuilding? It is currently locked up with a moderate amount of surface rust inside. Doesn't look like pitting has started yet.
What is the weight of this thing? Surely it weighs more than the good old 8 3/4" and maybe more than the Dana 60. It is HEAVY!

It most likely came from a half ton truck, but could have also came in an early car application.
