Post rear end ratio (85 or newer chevy van)

What kind of gear ratio would an 85 (or slightly newer) chevy van probably have? does anyone know where i can look up rear end gear ratios for chevy vehicles

I have seen quite a few with 3.42 ratios. You can also look under the drivers side of the hood, theres a sticker that sometimes gives ratio.
There is no substitute for removing the cover and checking, you never know if it had been changed.

You can get your rear ratio without popping-off the cover. just jack-up the rear tires of the ground and count how many drive shaft rotations it takes to do 1 tire rotations. Make sure both tires turn at the same time. If you have 3.08s you will do just over three drive shaft rotations, and 3.73 will get 3 3/4 rotations. It's that easy.
