rear fender sealant '67 C-10

I need to rely upon your expertise once again. I am replacing the bed side on my '67 Chevy C-10. There is a sealant putty that was in the seam around the bed side joint, when replacing this panel what type of sealant do I use. The original stuff was that grey putty that you roll into snakes, I have not seen that stuff in years, don't remember what it is called or where to buy it. So what to use??
Thanks, Andy

A product called sikkaflex. It is an all pupose automotive seam sealer, which is paintable and it comes in various colours. It comes in small tubes, but probably more suited to you would be the cartridge which you use in a caulking/silicone gun.
