Rear glass install on 37 chevy coupe

I got my new rubber and glass for the rear window on my 37 chev coupe. The rubber only has one slit in it. Does the glass go in the slit ? If so do you just set the glass in the slit and put it against the window frame and put the garnish in to hold it in place

i cant swear to it but i believe the 37 had rear glass that had no pinch weld. easy enough to check. if there is a pinch weld for the rubber to set over it needs a double slot rubber. if the opening just rounds over to the inside then the garnish molding holds the glass and rubber tight against the body .
