Talking rear shocks

currently building a rod from a 35 ford tudor sedan. Someone already had installed a nova front clip and rear. Got to looking and whoever put in the rear did not put in any shocks. They just took out the single spring system over the old ford rear and installed the nova rear with the two leaf springs.
I would think that shocks would be needed. Am I missing something here? Building in shocks wouldn't be that big a deal. Any opinons or advice?

By all means put some shocks on it. They can be put on just like they were on the Nova. You might have to fab your own frame brackets though, that should mot be too hard. Look under some old chevys and get an idea on configurarion.

just put some 2x2 sq tubing up frame rail to frame rail. that will be the top mount for the shock. mount the lower part of the shock to the spring pad. You can also hang your exhaust hanger straps from the 2x2 tubing.

hope this helps
