Rear suspension ?? 41 Buick
I was talking to someone the other day about about my project car and told them I purchased a universal rear leaf spring kit to install. They to had a 41 olds, which had the closed rear with spring system like I currently have, they said that it is easier to just bolt and weld that old suspension to another axle rather than go through the task of mounting and welding the leaf assembly up. Any thought on this. It looks easier to do and would require less welding on my part, but I am also worried about how it will feel? am I facing the issue of a rough ride? or no difference.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, the one good thing about the current suspension is the bars that mount to the frame and axle holding it like a true traction bar setup. I am not crazy though about the shocks that are currently there. I would opt to install the ones that came with the kit.
