Rear tire size for fenderless hot rod.

Hi everybody. I am in the mock up stages for a building a low buck fenderless hot rod. A 1952 Mercedes Benz hot rod. I mocked up a set of big and littles. The rear wheels are 15" x 10", the rear tire has an overall diameter of 27". I need a larger diameter tire to fill the rear wheel wells, something in the low 30's. What do people usually run? How do I size atire to my rear rim> Thanks Jimmy R

I would try just lowering it to fill the wells that's what I'm doing with my 37 Pontiac.

I had some BFG T/A's that were 275/60, and put on M/T ET Street radials 295/65....both are 15 inch rims. The ET Streets are way bigger, went with a wider wheel and specific backspace to make enough room without hitting. Had to go up two settings in the coil overs to keep from rubbin the wheel wells. But they look *****in and really set the car off.

Thanks Big MO. I'm thinking about removing my fenders and putting bigger tires on the back. The 295's on yours look great. I was looking at 265/75/15 which are 30.6 tall and about and inch narrower. I shouldn't need to get wheels, just keep the ones I have, if my calcs are correct. My fronts are 165R15 which are 25.25 tall. Both front and back are whitewalls. The whitewalls are facing inside (that way when I got the car). I'm planning on selling the white walls to help pay for the bigger tires...going to sell the fenders also...I want to go fender less
