OK. I've got a little....well large project of rust repair on my '68 Impala. I made my first piece and finally started cutting the first area. Seemed straight forward. Except I never realized they spot/plugged welded about 4 pieces together in that ledge.
So my question is how should I attack this? The spot welds are very difficult to spot as bad as the metal is in the areas I'm replacing. If I were to use a spot weld cutter, my guess is I'd have to redo those. I didn't expect to have to make my new piece into swiss cheese.
I'm only doing small sections at a time so I'd think things won't move out of place.
Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? Who else has done this what did you do? Thanks for any advice in advance.
