To fix this properly, you must remove the window. You want to see what's under the seal. If there is rust visible, believe me, there's lots more underneath. Remove the glass and then wire wheel the whole glass channel. This way you will get a better idea of just how much rust you need to fix. If you have brazing skills, then filling in the rusted areas may be the way to go.

yeah like was said get the window out and things cleaned up to see what your working with.you don't have to have any special tools to bend the metal. it can be bent and shaped with just home shop tools with a bit of care.
