Post Rearend For Nova

Will a rearend out of a 75 Firebird Formula fit in my 72 Nova. And what would be the gear ratio for the stock rearend in the formula.

The rear end housings are different lengths & the spring perches are not spaced the same, but the differential & gears will work. (assuming they are both 8.5")

Anywhere from 2.41 to 3.42 depending on how it was ordered. With the 2.41 and the 3.42 the most common of all the available ratios. I've seen 'em both ways in otherwise identical cars. From what I can gather Novas went to the 8.5 in late '71 or '72. If yours isn't an 8.5 then a '73 up Nova housing would be a bolt in and would accept the Firebird carrier and gears.
