rearend ques?

I've found an ad for a posi rearend complete with disc barkes w/ 3.73 gears. The ad says it will fit a Camaro or Firebird from '70 to '81. Does anyone know offhand if this will bolt to my '61 Apache or will I have to move the u-bolt brackets? They want $200 for it and say its in ex. cond. Is this a good buy even if I have to do some refitting? Thanks for any input.

I don't know, and of you don't find out, you could measure the distance from your hub to the mounts, and see if the rear for sale is the same. Also, make sure to hub-hub measurements work too.
