rearend swap for 1971 nova

I am trying to get as much information as possible and am confident that I can rely on this forum for help. I am getting ready to swap out the old rearend on a 1971 chevy nova for a 86-87 chevy Iroc camaro for the obvious reasons, drum to disc brake upgrade and the gearing for a more "daily driver" kind of setup. right now, this car is really fast because of the motor in it being very beefy (small block 350, cammed, headers, 750 dbl pumper, etc) . Any advice or experience with this particular swap would be appreciated. Thanks

The late Camaro rear is a 7.5 and thats a step backward for a fast car. I would try to find a 8.5 our of any 73-81 Camaro/Firebird/Nova and install the gear ratio you want.

Ford 8.8 . Not a bolt in but one hell of a factory rear end.
