Post rearend swapout for 51lincoln sedan

Have 1951 lincoln sedan it seems to share much of the body of the 51 merc from the firewall back. Since I've acquired this car in summer of 2000 most of effort has been getting the 337 c.i. flathead to run. Now that she's running my thoughts have been about upgrading the 22 spline rear for something more versatile gearing options. any recommendations? my budget is tight so I'm open to junkyard options.

The obvious choice would be a 9" from an early FORD.
