Well damn, I'm flat out bummed out today.. As a few of you may know or just don't care I haven't worked at my tranny shop for.. geez, it's been a while, I'm guessing more than 2 months, approaching 3. Luckily I had quite a bit of money saved up at the point where things started getting slow at the shop. So I got a break until things picked up again and I'd be right back in business r&r'ing trannys again.. or so I thought. Kept checking in, nothing same story. Checked in again every day, then it went to checking in every few days, then checking in once a week. I finally just told him to give me a call when things pick back up. I did a little creative home business type of service to get some money rolling but to be honest, I wasn't that into it thinking that I'd go back in to my old job pretty soon, doesn't mean I didn't get a few cars in to work on but I only passed out a few fliers to the people I knew well and that was that.
Anyway, after college was over for today, I was really curious to see what was going on over the shop, I almost expected to see another guy working in my place since my boss thought I had quit or something. I arrive upon closed doors.. strange, maybe he's picking up a few parts downtown? Checked in with the guys at the shop next door who we would usually chat with and they reveal to me the news.. "The shop's been sold, final paperwork was done sometime last week." I was pretty bummed out but for some reason, I was kind of expecting something like that. I knew it wasn't good after we barely got any cars in after a month's time. We usually did pretty damn well with flow of customers, I didn't think he would have to sell the shop but.. Well you know how s$%^^y and unpredictable the auto industry is. BLAH!!!!!!!!!!! Sooo I'm weighing my options now on whether I'm going to have to downgrade to some sort of brake/lube shop again and it should be easier to get hired since I'm 18 now. Apparently being 17 was the biggest factor on me not getting hired to what, like 30 places I applied to.. Jerk offs lol  But right now I'm definately going to get cracking on the fliers again and actually talk to my neighbors in person so they feel confident in my work and actually bring their cars by. Man this sucks! :drunk:
