Purchased a GM 350 290 HP crate motor brand new from GM have had nothing but problems (overheating) with it and ran into a gent at the York street rod show having the same problem. The problem we both have is getting answers to questions no tech line available - only e-mails saying never head of that before. I am sure I will work the problem out now that I have found someone else with the same problem.

The point....Cheap does not always work.
Look for local shops and ask for recommendations if there are any
good, they will give them out ,Then call them and ask if the had
problems. After I got the crate motor my local auto parts told
me about a local re builder 1 mile from me $1,000.00 including
heads, all new parts They supplied used block. 40 years in
Business does not advertise other the word of mouth and does
have problems. Boy did I make a mistake....Jim
