rebuilding a th350

I am now putting the springs back on the oil pump it says to leave off every third one. Is that correct?

yes some kits say to do that it will give less apply resisstance to the intermediate clutches. same for the direct clutches also.

Here is how GM located the springs when they were captured on the retainer:

Various locations will work fine. Just do not remove too many springs. Clutch release speed is as important as apply speed
Dont worry how old you are... it is the mileage on your body that adds up.
