rebuilding a th350 for strength ? questions

ok i am going ot have my K-case 1977 th350 transmission rebuilt and it will be driven by the original 400 sb with the 280 net toqrue and will be pullign heavy trailer sometimes, i plan on using this torque converter http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

very soon i am going to hunt down someone to rebuild the transmission for me,

my question is what are some common parts i should get, or modifications ?
any certain kit to get that has better clutch disc/band materials for less slipping/heat? any certain better springs ? oil passages to drill ?

in layman's terms please

any links or pics or anything else would be great

thanks for anything!

Interview your prospective trans builders. If they can't give you the specs on the overhaul procedsures they use, move on.
There are so many T350 OH kits and clutch combos, noone will spec one exact kit. A fairly simple trans to do right. Trust your local guys, but ask questions and find out about their reputation. Fear not, the T350 is a tough, venerable trans.
