Rebuilding a TH400 switch pitch
Before I put the th400 switch pitch I have in my new 74 Coupe deville, I figure it probably needs a rebuild. The question I have is fairly simple, does the th400 switch pitch use the same rebuild kit as a standard th400?
I did a search and nothing turned up, either here or on the other board I searched. I did however find good advice about watching a video while doing the rebuild and a few other tips.

Why don't you just rebuild the transmission that's in the car now?

Is the switch-pitch trans the same length as the one in the car now? Check to be sure before you have the it rebuilt. If the '74 trans has a longer tailshaft, you might want to have the SP rebuilt with a tailshaft that matches.
