Question Rebuilt Engine

I have a 2000 Z28 and I need to have my engine rebuilt. It is under warrente so I only pay 50 dollars. I am bringing it to a performance shop to have the work done. What I wanna know is what can I have the guy do. Should I have him bor it out. I dont wanna do anything to drastic. Its just I have heard my car friends saying that they had there engine rebuilt and the guy port and polished and borded it out and they got like 100hp. But I dont know. Please Help.

If u can get free head work done under waranty then go for it! Other than that I might look into seeing if he can install a Mass Air Flow Sensor... Feed the engine a little more oxygen and a little more fuel . Maybe see if he can recommend a tad bit larger cam as well. Just sum ideas... I'm sure more ppl on here will give you their opinion as well... I say milk all u can outta the warranty
