Rebuilt engine question
 

Whats up hotRod, just wanted to know I rebuilt the top end of the motor, and have everything installed, new oil and battery connected is all that's needed,

I have valvoline vr1 as my oil, do I have to put ENGINE BREAK-in OIL additive, since vr1 has zzdp (racing oil)??? Also how much oil should I put in???

Hard to say with so little info. What engine? Just heads, or new cam too, and is it flat tappet or roller cam?

If a new cam and lifters were included in the build I would use the additive. If not then the vr1 will be fine.

The amount of oil depends on what oil pan you have.

Can't always go by what comes with a cam kit. I've had a couple that the maker left the lube out o, and when I called them they sent it separately.
