Reccomend headers for a stock 350

Stock 350 stock heads, performer intake, QuadraJet carb.

Can anyone help me figure out which headers to get for my el camino?

1 5/8 and 3 inch collector long pipes is what I'm looking for.

Brand?

painted or thermal coated?

Mark

For a basically stock engine you don't need any bigger primary's than the 1 5/8"

After having thermal coated headers, I wont go back to painted. The reduction in underhood temps vs. painted is significant.

When looking for headers do I go with SAP or Oval for my stock 350 heads?

coated headers with thick flanges are worth the extra money.

I would get a set of Hooker full length Comp headers.
1 5/8 into 3" collector.

For a stock 350 1.5" will be fine. These are 18 gauge so they are almost the same inside as 1 5/8 with 16 gauge.

For the price, being coated, they are pretty nice. $210 @ summit.
