Recommended Diagnostic Code Scanners
I am looking to purchase a scanner in the $100 to $150 range. I have been looking at the Equus 3120 Innova Diagnostic Code Scanner or Equus 3130 Innova Diagnostic Code Scanner ..... 3120 can also read some OBD1 cars......3130 can do live data stream, no OBD1 capability... .... What can you recommend in this price range either from Equus or others ... ???? Thanks.

The Equus are about the best bang for the buck, IMHO
I use a X431 Launch which is Da Bomb I also use an MTG 2500 snapon as it has all the OBD 1 functions The launch is superior to any snap on dollar for dollar IMHO I also use a little code reader for quick checks on the service drive, Maybe look at the Lauch scanners, like the diagun and a few others. The nice thing with the launch is you can update online anytime, and if you get say a czheng zao in the shop you can download the software for it too. ![]() All kidding aside, the launch has been pretty kickbutt. Beside american , japanese, korean and german, it performs miracles on english stuff , like land rovers and jaguars.
