recovered old door handles

finally had ago at recovering the old handles covered them with 1/4 inch foam
and sewed the cover together out of 2 pieces of vinyle with piping down the middle and glued them at the back with a couple of lock stiches to hold them they came up not to bad happy with them anyway

You did very well for your first time with a job that is not at all easy. Small, curved shapes are very hard to do.

One tip or suggestion. I always use smaller welt cord with vinyl. I use 4/32 welt cord instead of 5/32 because the vinyl is thick and can make the welts look out of proportion, especially on smaller items like your arm rests.

In the pictures, 5/32 welt cord is on the right.

yes thanks dan i will keep that in mind not sure what size the piping was that i used i didnt even know there were different sizes .
