red oxide primer

This is a great place to ask dumb questions !...ok..Im looking for a "red oxide" primer for my '31 model A ratty rod . What brand? Rustoleum has the correct color but in rattle cans only. This will be the temporary color until..??

SEM has the red primer in its rust shield line that is close to the rustoleum color and it comes in gallons..check with a paint jobber in your area and they should be able to fix you up..

Check out this link. I don't know whatcolor it comes in but it does come in gallons. They also have a rusty metal primer but they say it should only be used on heavily rusted metal.
