remaking door panels?
Im remaking my door panel for my 62 galaxie xl.Ive pulled all the staples and removed all the ss trim,There an aluminum plate that i got off without bending .It was held on with black thumbgum.The mylar (shiny aluminum)Sheeting(its as thin as paper and appears to be glued to the red vinyl dp material.My question is what thichness of foam do you reccomend going under the red vinyl dp material?And where can i get that capeted material that goes at the bottom? Thanks Mike

The thickness of the foam should be just like the original panel, probably 1/8" or 1/4". The carpet is available online at Auto Custom Carpets ( ACC: your authority for custom automotive carpet, floor mats, and more ), or other places like Your Auto Trim, and Rochford Supply.
