Remanufactured Steering Gear Problem?
I got a remanufactured power steering gear from LMC for my 81 Chevy truck. I got the thing on tonight and there is a definite drag/friction at dead center. Is this supposed to help you find dead center and eventually smooth out with use? Or is this an indication the thing sat around in the warehouse too long and some corrosion built up on the worm drive? Either way, do I need to exchange it?
