Remote MC filler
:welcome: I have a TCI frame with the master cylinder (MC) set in the rails. I want to set up a remote filler for this MC. I already have a left over filler from another kit, but I don't have the plate for the MC. Could I use the same top from the MC and drill 2 holes and insert 2 barbed connectors to which I would connect the hose to the filler. There is a neoprene gasket that would require a hole so that the fluid goes into the cylinder. I'm wondering whether this would be leakproof if one were to do it this way. On the other hand, has anybody made a cover for one of these cylinders to use with a remote filler. I have no idea what type of MC TCI uses for their brake system and so cannot even begin to think of even ordering one from some supplier. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
The original lid will leak. I make a new one from 1/2" aluminum plate. You also have to figure out a better way to clamp the lid on too, the spring bail won't clamp it enough.
Kugel makes a plate for this. 40$
I have one, but haven't filled the system with fluid yet.
The plate is very hard to clamp down. Maybe to prevent leaks?
