Removing a 2.8/700r4, Install V-8 with 700r4
Transmission question?I have been reading posts about switching fro m tpi/tbi to a carb.Thay say that the converter will not lock up.I am removing a 2.8/700r4 and replacing it with a 305 out of an 84 bonneville.I have a carb,not electric carb,and vacume advance distributor.I also have a 700r4 out of an 86 firebird.I was not going to remove my ecm,so is my tranny going to "lock up" like it is supposed to.All this is going in my 87 firebird.Any comments would be welcome.Thanks,John
