removing the backs on a 56 chevy split bench

am doing the interior for a friend. i'm having trouble removing the split backs.i cant make them release in the center where they pivot. do they just pull out?do you have to remove some fabric? please help thanks

56 seat backs

Can't recall how them come out, but they either had a cotter pin hidden or you need to twist them up at angle to slide out of position, assuming you have outside unfastened. Good Luck and post how they come out. TOM

Take the side trim loose, remove the pin, tilt them forward and they should slide off the inside pin where they rotate. I think?????????????
