Removing die from interior panels
So the previous owner quit 10% of the way through redying the interior on my 68 Cougar black. So I'm left with two panels that were originally dark green but are now black. The panels are in fine shape so I'd like to remove the dye without harming the original vinyl's colour and grain.
I've tried acetone on a portion of the panel that is unseen when they are installed and it took some off, but it took a huge amount of acetone in comparison to how much came off and I'm not sure I could do much more without some kind of respirator. Any suggestions on how to get the dye off? |

try castrol superclean FULL STRENGTH! I use it to strip paint off of model cars and it works great
!You will have to keep it wet for A little bit but it will not harm the vinyl at all.Try it,And if it dont work you have degreaser that works great so its a no lose deal
