Removing Door Lock

Hey Gang,

I need to get the door lock on my 1941 Dodge re-keyed. I have found a locksmith that will do it but he needs me to bring in the lock. So how do I get the thing out of the 1941 Dodge door?

Thanx,

CaptMicom

Not sure about your particular model, but it most likely has something like this inside the door. I'm referring to the clip at the very bottom of this image. It is actually a spring clip that slides into slots in the barrel of the lock, on the inside of the door. You should be able to grab it with pliers and slide it out.

Thanx evolvo, I found a clip just inside the door under the door gasket. I will try and pull it tomorrow.
