Removing drip rails...
Has anyone had any experience with permanently removing drip rails?
An episode of one of the car shows, like Cut, Chop and Rebuild, did it on a Nova, and it looked pretty good. They cut it off with a sawzall, welded, and ground it smooth.
I'd like to do it to my '68 Chevelle.
I know the original thought behind them, bu they said it wasn't necessary. Is there an inherent reason not to do this?
