Removing vinyl paint?
 

I have a steering wheel that was painted with vht vinyl paint.
Any tips on how to remove the paint?

The guy I got it from said he just cleaned it with simple green and sprayed it.
He said he did not sand it or anything.

The vinyl paint is supposed to bond with the vinyl, so it's not a question of getting it off, it's a question of coloring over it.

I am sure I accidentally sprayed brake cleaner on a new painted interior panel and it removed the paint with no damage.

I am not saying it is the best, but I came out alright. :confused:
