Removing windshield?

Hello, I got a amigo and I cant seem to get the windshield out cause the thing is glued in place. Is there anything to disolve the sealant? Under the windshield of my amigo on the drivers side is leaking badly and is rusted out so I need to pull the windshield off.

Thanks.

There is a tool called a window knife that has a short cable with a handle that you pull while guiding the cutter with the other hand. Pro glass guys even have a electric version. It may be in your best interest however to let your local glass guy take it out and come back after you repair to put it back in. Beware though they may or may not gaurentee against breakage.

If you don't mind if it breaks you'll enjoy ths thread...

A lot cheaper method is to run a piece of piano wire through the sealer from the outside to the inside and run it back and forth around the window. That will losen it enough to pop it out.
