repaint

I painted my car with one of the cheaper paints and it did not turn out very good. Im sure it was my fault not the paint. I ran out of this paint and went to the local jobber to see if they sold this paint. They did not so I decided to go with ppg paint to finish my hood. It sprayed much better and layed flatter than the paint I was using. So I decided to redo the car in ppg and my question is do I need to primer the car again or just scuff the other paint? Thanks in advance.

You will need to provide more information in order to get better answers. Need to know the brand of paint, if it is activated, and how long it has been on the vehicle. Also tell if the vehicle has been inside or allowed to get some sun.

I used kirker urethane enamel which I believe is activated. I painted the car about two months ago but only pulled the car out of the garage a couple of times so very little sun. thanks
