Using automotive single stage for the top and bottom works great and is easy for the first timer. We've got customers with100 mph base coat clear coat that where painted 20 years ago and have held up great. Personaly I like ppg concept single stage. It pays to use good paint

I'm liking what I hear about single stage BC/CC. Although this won't be my first paint work, it will be my first on a boat. I used to work in a body shop back in the 80's but I know paint has come along ways since then and was needing to know from those of you that have done boats before what your take was on it. I want to do it right the first time and end up with a long lasting finish. My boat won't be in the water for long periods of time, maybe just a weekend but will probably be every weekend. Thanks
