Repairing broken seat back mechanisms

Not StreetRod related,(my 350 powered 46 Ford is never a problem), but, my wifes 2000 S-10 4 door Blazer can be frustrating. Both seat back adjustments are broken. Not the handles, but the shafts the handles attach to, under the upholstrey. Any one know if repair / replacement parts are available through the dealer? Cant explain to them on the phone what i'm looking for, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You will probably have to go down to the dealership and look at the parts illustrated break down in their computer and directly point at the item for them to understand. I'm not calling dealership parts guys dumb or anything. It's just hard to understand exactly what people are looking for sometimes over the phone at a parts counter while shop people are interrupting you, other phones are ringing and people are standing in front of you, who were being helped when the counter guy stopped and took your call. The last time I needed a part for my Chevy the counter guy needed my VIN number to find the right break down for my trucks seat in his computer. Hopefully someone here on the site can help you more, but I do believe you will need to make a trip to the dealership.

Broken seat backs

Thanks to all that provided input, especially Kristkustoms. Went online and ordered what I needed,no trip to the "Village" to spend untold hours with parts specialist, sit back and work on other projects till parts arrive. Again, many thanks, great site.
