Lap the valves????? I'll bet thats a job and a half.....I wonder if I can use my valve spring tool for my 350 to get those springs out...

You right.The newer I/R's are aluminum and are a import.The one I got is cast iron and one of the last ones built in the U.S.I found the I/R support here fanatic.The guys are 3 hrs away in Syr,NY and even through my pump must be 25 yrs old,they still service it and have the parts.For the time period of my unit,in my book I/R rocks.

HMMMM The motor on my IR compressor is an Emerson made in St. Louis Missouri. I bought it new about 10 years ago
