The following is the front end in a 59 ford truck. However it is not original, so I am trying to figure out what front end it is. It is probably out of a gm. At least the steering column is a gm. So I figure it is some sort of gm product. How do I tell if they put it in there right. Lots of stuff is done kind of half assed on this truck, but if the front end is in there ok it may be worth working with.

looks like about a 70-81 camaro/fbird that somebody REALLY F'd up.
either start over or make DAMN sure it's in there straight AND at the correct angle.

looks like a 80's GM front suspension w/a Metric steering box. most likely from like a midsize GM car like Monte Carlo's and alike cars..joe

53" from horn to horn on the metric stuff. 56" on the SAE stuff.


That looks nothing like a metric or SAE frame horns.

Looks like a "Halloween" suspension. It screams "Trick or Treat" and strong on the "Trick" side. Otherwords, scares the heck out of me!! I would not trust it sitting on a trailer, much less driving it.
