Replace 1955 front fender caps

I was wondering if somebody has pictures or video of someone replaceing the front caps on a 1955 Chevy Belair front fenders, sure would help a lot before I mess it up, thanks!!

That car has great potential! very nice. Are you speaking of cutting the old headlight metal out and replacing with new metal?

Yes that is exactly what I want to do, I already have the replacment caps from a vender, but am afraid of making a boo boo!!

here's a video of me doing one starting at 5 minutes into the video. It's of a Nomad. Pretty much the same thing I'm thinking.

1955 Chevy Belair front fenders headlight caps

Thanks tech69 for the video, but I might of given you the wrong information on what I'm looking for, what you have on the video you sent me is the replacement of the Headlight bucket retainer(inner), what I would like to see is the replacement of the Chevy Headlight cap pair panel, I'm sorry if I mislet you in any way, I need to see how to align the new part before I cut the old one out, or should I install the headlight bucket first?? then cut out the old material of the fender cap. Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated, as was the first vid!! Thanks again!!

Yup..Those tri 5 chevs are made pretty much the same just some differences in how they look as the finished car..
