clean up all the rust around the hole and see just how large of an area needs to be replaced. Make a patch and bend it to fit the contour, when the fit is good lay it on top of the hole area and scribe around it. Cut the scribe line and fit the patch. When the patch fit's good tack weld in place and continue to tack around the perimeter untill it is completely welded in. Grind your welds down and clean the metal, apply epoxy top and bottom, finish off the underside with Everglass, primer and paint, paint the topside. That's the basics. Good clean metal makes for easy welding. A good fitting patch makes for easy finishing. Bob
