Hi all,
My girls 93 corsica 3.1L has been making a pretty bad banging/hitting sound when driving around and over bumps and on the highway. It looks like the engine mounts on the car are shot. Whenever the car shifts it weight to the right on the highway, doing 45-50 the whole car shakes pretty awful. I am guessing its the passenger side motor mounts.
I was wondering how complicated it was to change the engine mounts on this car? I am use to my wide spaced camaro engine compartment, this thing however is tight! Gotta love that GM engineering

.
There 2 mounts on the passenger side, one on the top and one on the bottom. I have never changed a mount but my friend says that it can be down with a jack. I thought an engine hoist was the only way to do it but I figured I would ask the pro's if he was right...
