replacing water pump - do the timing chain too?

67 olds cutlass w/ stock 330

Not real mechanically inclined so shop is replacing water pump - should i get timing chain done as well?

how much cost to do a timing chain is reasonable? after they dismatle it to do the pump , what needs to be done? pull and replace chain and cover, reset timing? just curious how involved it is.

many thanks.

not sure if needs it , had car for 20 years - was daily driver for 5 of those.

how to know if needs one? i thought chains were either good or bad and you didnt want to take a chance on it breaking and damaging engine?
