Reputable parts sources

I am finishing up a rebuild of my 455 olds engine. I had decided on the Mondello heads and intake but am having second thoughts after seeing some negative revues. These complaints were a few years old so I'm wondering if the problems have been fixed or if I should go back to my Edelbrock catalog and save the hassle. Normally I prefer to have something a little different than everyone else but if this group bites, I would rather pass.

Any info appreciated.

If my memory serves me.....which it rarely does, I think Mondello Porting Service was bought out a few years back and the quality suffered. Just saw Joe on the TV the other night teaching youngsters how to port cyl heads. If you havn't seen his new company for parts go to

Theres nothing wrong with using Edelbrock heads and have an Olds, that should be different enough......Good luck.
